United States · Founded 1916
A century of aircraft — and the two most-produced airliner families in history.
Boeing has been building aircraft since 1916, and for most of the jet age it defined what an airliner was. The 707 made intercontinental jet travel routine, the 747 made it affordable, and the 737 became the most-produced jet airliner in history by a distance that no rival has approached.
Its range on this site is unmatched: the 737 and 757 narrowbodies, the 767 and 777 twins, the composite 787, the 747 and its Dreamlifter derivative, the 777X now in certification — and the B-52, an aircraft first flown in 1952 that its air force plans to keep flying into the 2050s.
Silhouettes are sized by real wingspan — bigger aircraft draw bigger.
